Company will supply more than 600 gallons of water to the race course and SLO Life Expo
San Luis Obispo, CA — No runner could survive 26.2 miles without it. At its base, water is needed to power athlete participation at any sporting event. It is used in itself as a refresher and as a coolant, usually poured over a body when core temperatures rise. It’s also the base of all electrolyte drinks, bringing the needed calories to survive an endurance event. The San Luis Obispo Marathon + Half has partnered with Culligan Water in Santa Maria to supply more than 600 gallons of water for the event.
“We’re very happy to have Culligan as a partner in the marathon,” says Heather Hellman event director. “As this race grows, we know Justin and the employees at Culligan have the capacity to grow with us. Culligan is a long established company with a great reputation and superior product. I know our athletes will appreciate their presence at the race and Expo.”
Culligan in Santa Maria is no novice in supplying many large races on the Central Coast. Their credits include the Wildflower Triathlon, Scott Tinley Triathlon, Bull Canyon Run, Heritage Oaks Family Fun Run, and Relay for Life, just to name a few.
