Limited to 100 / 150 teams per Relay; 7th annual event set for April 28-29 in Endurance Town USA; register today for all race distances at slomarathon.com

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – The 7th SLO Marathon + Half, produced by the Central Coast’s endurance sports leader Race SLO, has added two relay races – a 4-Person Marathon & 2-Person Half Marathon – to its 2018 family of weekend events. Starting and finishing at the landmark Madonna Inn grounds, the region’s largest running festival is slated for April 28-29 with the MarathonHalf Marathon and Relays on Sunday morning.

“The inaugural 4-Person Marathon Team Relay and 2-Person Half Marathon Team Relay are perfect additions to this growing annual community event that showcases beautiful San Luis Obispo, voted one of The Happiest Places in America,” said Samantha Pruitt, Race SLO Founder & CEO. “A Relay style race is a fun way to get new runners & walkers into the sport as well as bringing people together for a common goal or cause. There’s very little training or fitness required to simply join friends and together spread out the miles. Plus all Relay participants get to enjoy the rewarding finish line, award medals and post-event celebration.”

The Marathon Relay is limited to 100 teams and the Half Marathon Relay is limited to 150 teams. The Relays are expected to sell out and registration has opened. For more details on the 2018 event, go to: slomarathon.com
